Recently, a young woman who I work with received some flowers as an early Valentine's Day gift from Trudy's Floral Design, located in the Medical / Dental Building in downtown Seattle (close to Nordstrom). She was so excited about these flowers being delivered (they weren't a surprise) and when the moment finally came, the experience certainly did not leave her feeling loved (at least by Trudy's).
I don't even know where to begin with this but let's start with the floral arrangement. As you can see from the image to the left - there is nothing about this that would be considered "beautiful", or even artistic for that matter. It looks like Trudy, or perhaps a complete stranger off the street, found all of the "crap" lying around and threw them together to create this. You can't really see from the picture, but many of the flowers arrived withering. How would that make anyone feel special on Valentine's Day? Does the image to the left look like a romantic, and thoughtful Valentine's Day arrangement? Or, are you thinking that it would look a lot better in, say - a medical office? Does Trudys' Flowers just give dumpy recycled floral arrangements to paying customers that have been returned by people in the Medical Dental building?
Second, but not as important, is the rude delivery boy who basically threw this arrangement at my coworker and ran out the door. I don't know what the big hurry was unless he had already been getting yelled at by other Trudy's patrons throughout the day - in which case I would be in and out fast, too.
Third, after my coworker and her partner contacted Trudy's about how unpleasant this experience has been, they were both promised that someone would come and pick this one up and deliver a new one. That was a few days ago.
So, if you have any plans on using Trudy's for Valentine's Day - do yourself AND TRUDY a favor and go with another company. If Trudy's Floral Design sends out bad, wilting flowers, throws them at customers, and then lies about a resolution - they obviously do not want anyones business.
If you are out there Trudy, she is still waiting for those romantic flowers that were promised.
